Can I get pregnant from having unprotected sex in a hot tub one day before my period?
The short answer is, yes. It’s possible to get pregnant anytime you have unprotected sex, no matter where you are or what position you’re having sex in. But, if you got your period, that means you didn’t get pregnant.
In the future, keep in mind that you can get pregnant in a hot tub, a swimming pool, or any other body of water. And you can also get pregnant anytime you have unprotected sex, regardless of what day it is in your cycle. Sperm can live in your reproductive tract for about six days, so it’s always necessary to use protection.
Hello, I had protected sex with a condom on the last day on my period. The condom didn’t beak but, I fear that I might be pregnant. What are the chances of me being pregnant ?
Hi Alex,
When used correctly, condoms are extremely effective at preventing pregnancy. Each year, 2 out of 100 women whose partners use condoms will become pregnant if they always use condoms correctly. You can learn more about condoms here.

Hi Charlotte,
When taken correctly, birth control pills are 99% effective at preventing pregnancy. If you’re taking the pill correctly, your partner uses condoms, and he pulls out, it’s safe to say you’re not pregnant.
