can u get pregnant by pre-cum cuz im hearing different stories
There’s a lot of misinformation floating around out there about pre-cum. Here are some facts:
- Pre-ejaculate — also known as pre-cum — is a liquid that oozes out of the penis before ejaculation.
- Oozing pre-cum is involuntary, meaning a guy can’t control when he secretes it.
- Pre-cum itself doesn’t contain sperm. But some men’s reproductive systems leak small amounts of sperm into their pre-ejaculate.
That’s one of the reasons why the pull-out method — also known as withdrawal — can be ineffective at preventing pregnancy, even if the guy pulls out before he ejaculates.
So to answer your question, it is unlikely but still possible to get pregnant from pre-cum.
my bf had pre-cum on himself and touched himself then touched outside of my vagina. i’m on birth control but am day late for period. i’m usually late though. am i pregnant?
Hi McKenna,
When taken correctly, birth control pills are 99% effective at preventing pregnancy throughout the entire month. You can read more about birth control here.

I am 18 yrs old. I had unprotected sex with my bf a couple of times and he pulled out before he ejaculated. Now, my period is 7 days late. I took two home pregnancy tests after 7 days from missed period and both came out negative. My period came a week earlier last time. Can I be pregnant or my period is being erratic ? Please help !
Hi Maxim,
A negative pregnancy test result is a sign you’re not pregnant. There are a lot of things that can delay your period besides pregnancy. Click here to learn about what they can be.

I had hard core sex with my boyfriend 3 days in a row about 2 weeks ago. It was unprotected. He did pull out before he came but could I still be pregnant?
Hi Dandelion,
The chance of getting pregnant from pre-cum is really small, so you’re probably not pregnant. If your period is late, you can take a pregnancy test to be sure. In the future, it’s always a good idea to use a condom.

My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. First timers. Then a couple of more times. We used condoms a couple times. We both know for a fact he did not cum inside of me all the times we’ve had. Pre-cum, I’m sure. But my last period was last day of February through beginning of March. It’s middle of April and I have not gotten my period. Two weeks and a couple days late to be exact. Took a pregnancy test last week, came out negative. Am I pregnant? Or am I just stressing?
Hi Elsie,
A negative pregnancy test is a sign you’re not pregnant. There are plenty of reasons for a late period, which you can read about here. In the future, it’s a good idea to use a condom every time you have sex.
